Hydraulic Modeling, Water Quality and Master Plans
DCSE has been providing hydraulic modeling services to water agencies for several years through its “Engineering Services” department. DCSE has used hydraulic modeling to solve complex challenges faced by local water districts. Most recently, DCSE provided hydraulic modeling services to MWDOC/IRWD to assess South Orange County Water Supply Reliability.
DCSE has also assisted agencies in resolving water quality challenges in the coastal zone, troubleshoot system operational problems Agencies face, and assess the upgrade alternatives and recommend replacement and rehabilitation. Other Hydraulic Modeling services include: Master planning and CIP development , Fire protection systems and Vulnerability assessment
The new generation of commercial hydraulic models provides integration with GIS and other information systems. This allows the users to update the infrastructure data in GIS while the model gets updated from GIS. DCSE has successfully delivered several hydraulic models with MWH Soft’s solutions as well as Haestad Methods’ solutions, for potable water, recycled and sewer systems.
