Diversion Programs) are a means of improving and monitoring the City of Los Angeles “diversion rate”. The diversion rate is the ratio of tons of waste that is “diverted” to the tons of waste that is “disposed”. The City of LA currently has a diversion rate greater than 50% but has the objective of 70%.

A diversion “program” establishes stakeholders, business rules and data capture (reporting) requirements. Program stakeholders include SRCRD support personnel and program participants.  Programs supported by RDMS include Facilities, Waste Haulers, Business Waste Audit, City Department Compliance, and Construction & Demolition. RDMS provides access to both “Users” and “Administrators” via Internet or Intranet. Each program module has an independent interface that clearly and comprehensively supports program workflows, reports and information management.
